If you are dealing with the death of a loved one and need support, call us. We provide support to families of our patients in many ways, support groups, memorial services, and through letters, literature, and phone calls following the death of their loved one.
Grief Support Group
This group explores the challenges of loss and the natural process of grieving. Techniques for coping with life after someone dear to the heart is gone are discussed. This support group is open to anyone who is experiencing a loss. In a confidential setting, together we share our grief.
Meet and Eat Bereavement Group
This is not your typical bereavement support group. Meet & Eat is a monthly dinner gathering for those who have lost a loved one. It is a time to remember that even though you may have lost a loved one, you can still be social and enjoy a meal out with others who share similar experiences.
Twice a year, we honor hospice patients and residents of the Grinnell Regional Medical Center’s service area who have recently passed away. Grinnell Regional Hospice staff facilitates a ceremony to provide reflections, poetry, and musical selections.
