    This past month Grinnell Regional Medical Center and Grinnell College concluded a year and half long study looking into the effectiveness of using copper alloy materials in a hospital setting. The study was administered by Shannon Hinsa-Leasure, Ph.D., associate professor at Grinnell College and a research team of undergraduate students.

    Volunteering gives individuals the opportunity to maintain a healthy, active, and social lifestyle. Over the past five years, Jerry Henschen has become a key member of the Grinnell Regional Auxiliary volunteer program. During that time he has become a familiar, friendly face to patients, staff, and visitors. Henschen primarily volunteers as a mail courier. He enjoys chatting with employees as he makes his rounds to the different departments.
