Worked Holidays

Employees who work on a medical center holiday will receive time and one half for hours worked. Medical center holidays are available from first day of employment. They include New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve (after 6 p.m.), Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve (after 6 p.m.).

Paid Time Off

Paid time off is time credited to an employee and may be used for absences from his/her normally scheduled hours of work and receive pay. PTO is granted by the medical center in place of sick, vacation, holiday, birthday, wellness, personal, or funeral days.
Full-time/Part-time employees are eligible to begin crediting PTO on their first day of work and are eligible to use credited PTO as it is credited. The rate in which PTO hours are credited increases after each 60 months of employment.

Buy Back

After eligibility is met, employees have the option to buy back unused portions of their PTO bank for 100 percent salary reimbursement.

On- Call and Callback Pay

Employees who are on on-call status and are called back to the medical center will receive time and one-half for all callback hours. Employees on call are compensated for hours spent on-call.

Shift Differential

GRMC pays a shift differential for evening, night, and 12-hour shifts. After two years of employment, employees receive double the shift differential pay for evening and night shifts.

Weekend Premium Pay

GRMC pays a weekend premium for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday.

403(b) Pension Plan

Employees have the opportunity to contribute up to 100 percent of their annual salary up to the federal annual maximum.
